By becoming a member, you sustain our society in achieving its goals, namely the promotion of excellence in the practice of anesthesia, in patient management and safety, as well as the promotion of excellent education and science in anesthesia. The more we are, the stronger we can be, and the higher the chances of being heard and recognized. The BeSARPP is at a privileged place to give advices and counseling to the authorities regarding the domains it aims for.<br><br>Anesthesiologists in training are also more than welcome. We need their input through the Belgian Anesthesia Trainees group (BAT) to improve the way anesthesia education is provided. Special prices have been designed for them.<br><br>But BeSARPP membership is not a one-way deal. By becoming a member, you will benefit from all the advantages of it:<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"list \">\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Access to several education opportunities at a low price, or even for free in some instances, such as the graduation day, and workshops to learn practical skills.<br><\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Free online access to the society\u2019s journal, the Acta Anaesthesiologica Belgica. In this journal, and beside original studies and case reports, detailed narrative review articles are provided on a regular basis, dealing with hot topics and providing up-to-date information for the anesthetic management of several pathological conditions. The journal is also a communication link, where the BeSARPP can diffuse its own guidelines or highlight those of other anesthesia societies. It also allows residents to publish their master\u2019s thesis at the end of their training.<br><\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Possibility to apply for research grants if you are in a position of conducting clinical or basic science research. Each year, and after adequate selection by independent international experts, the BeSARPP awards grants to Belgian anesthesia research projects of excellent quality.<br><\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Being part of a large scientific network, both in Belgium and the remaining world, through the privileged relationship the BeSARPP has with international anesthesia societies such as the European Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC), and the World Federation of Anesthesia Societies (WFSA).<br><\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Reduced fee for several scientific meetings that are endorsed by the BeSARPP, either in Belgium or abroad.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Free\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.esaic.org\/membership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ESAIC Associate Membership<\/a>\u00a0(Online access to European Journal of Anaesthesiology, the Current Opinion in Critical Care, the Current Opinion in Anaesthesiology and the ESAIC Newsletter)<em>.<\/em> <\/mark><em>This membership is only activated as of June 2026 and\u00a0if you have paid your membership fee before June 2026<\/em><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">.<\/mark><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\"><br><\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Monthly BeSARPP newsletter with the latest updates wp-elements-26f319cd4c5fee3d0d8b0baaf9bd038f\">BeSARPP Titulary Members have voting rights at the Annual General Assembly and can also apply to join the BeSARPP Board every 4 years.<br>Who can apply as a Titulary Member?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"c-black  has-link-color wp-elements-b6332b7d661d26ddc555838ae41d5a53\"><strong>NL<\/strong>:<br>De voorwaarden om als werkend lid toegelaten te worden zijn cumulatief:<br>\u2022 Voldoen aan \u00e9\u00e9n van de onderstaande kwalificaties:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"list \">\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Anesthesioloog (of anesthesioloog in opleiding) zijn, \u00e9n houder zijn van een Belgische academische graad van de derde cyclus of van een buitenlandse gelijkwaardige graad;<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Belgische Universiteit zijn dewelke een opleiding aanbiedt tot dokter in de medische wetenschappen, geneesheer-specialist in de anesthesiologie;<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Academicus zijn, aangesteld door een Belgische universiteit zoals hierboven bedoeld;<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">Zich, naar oordeel van de Raad van Bestuur, op een bijzondere wijze verdienstelijk maken of gemaakt hebben in de wetenschap of praktijk van de anesthesiologie.<\/mark><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"c-black  has-link-color wp-elements-de3addea75a7041060ac1c28ebd154d1\"><strong>FR<\/strong>: <br>Les conditions suivantes doivent \u00eatre remplies de mani\u00e8re cumulative pour \u00eatre admis en qualit\u00e9 de membre effectif :<br>\u2022 satisfaire \u00e0 l&#8217;une des qualifications ci-dessous :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"list \">\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">\u00eatre anesth\u00e9siologue (ou anesth\u00e9siologue en formation) et titulaire d&#8217;un titre universitaire belge de troisi\u00e8me cycle ou d&#8217;un titre \u00e9tranger \u00e9quivalent ;<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">\u00eatre une universit\u00e9 belge qui dispense une formation de docteur en sciences m\u00e9dicales, m\u00e9decin sp\u00e9cialiste en anesth\u00e9siologie ;<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">\u00eatre une personne de formation universitaire, d\u00e9sign\u00e9e par une universit\u00e9 belge au sens pr\u00e9cit\u00e9 ;<\/mark><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color c-black\">faire preuve de m\u00e9rite ou avoir fait preuve de m\u00e9rite, de l&#8217;avis du Conseil d&#8217;administration, d&#8217;une fa\u00e7on particuli\u00e8re dans les sciences ou dans la pratique de l&#8217;anesth\u00e9siologie ;<br>\u2022 accepter de participer activement \u00e0 la r\u00e9alisation des objectifs de l&#8217;A.S.B.L. ;<br>\u2022 accepter les statuts et le r\u00e8glement d&#8217;ordre int\u00e9rieur de l&#8217;A.S.B.L. ;<br>\u2022 avoir suivi la proc\u00e9dure d&#8217;admission pr\u00e9vue dans le
