Acta Anaesthesiologica Belgica
Acta Anaesthesiologica Belgica is the official journal of the Belgian Society for Anesthesiology, Resuscitation Perioperative medicine and Pain management (BeSARPP). The journal publishes 4 issues a year, and with eventually supplements. It first appeared in 1950. Since 1973, all accepted articles are published in English, and this has resulted in increased international standing.
Acta Anaesthesiologica Belgica is indexed in EMBASE & EXCERPTA MEDICA.
Acta Anaesthesiologica welcomes submissions of original papers in the field of anesthesiology, emergency medicine, pain medicine, and intensive care medicine, in the form of original studies, reviews, editorials, or case reports. It also insures publication of Master theses from Belgian anesthesiology residents. Each submitted paper is submitted to peer-review by at least two experts in the concerned field. The review process is entirely double blind, meaning that neither reviewers or authors are aware of the identity of each other.
The Acta Anaesthesiologica Belgica has a specific website for submission of manuscripts. Any manuscript should be submitted through that route, according to the instructions and guidelines of the journal.
Articles that are not submitted in accordance with those instructions will be sent back to the authors for correction. Accepted papers are published free of charge, and are freely accessible on the AAB website.
