Evening Symposium. Resuscitative Hysterotomy in Maternal Cardiac Arrest: Every Second counts.
When a pregnant woman experiences cardiac arrest, performing a resuscitative hysterotomy can be lifesaving—for both mother and baby. While rare, this intervention is crucial in time-critical emergencies.
This evening symposium brings together obstetricians, emergency physicians, anesthesiologists, intensivists, midwives and general practitioners to explore this high-stakes procedure from a multidisciplinary perspective. Drawing on four years of data from BAMM (Belgian Analysis System for Maternal Mortality), the program includes case discussions, data review, and insights into training, decision-making, and system organisation.
You are warmly invited to join us for this symposium, dedicated to improve maternal and child survival in the most urgent circumstances
